One participant, when asked to comment on the VentureWrench Launch! experience said, “We really appreciate this cohort style business development program, and we are so thankful for the funding going to such a program. I am confident that all the participants had significant benefits. One participant explained the program value they received from the program, “It really helped us in two ways. First, networking and the idea of talking to people was super daunting. In fact, I didn’t think we would be able to make the number of interviews we were required to do, so we almost didn’t join. However, it ended up that this course really helped me get better at networking, talking to people, and making connections. Second, it helped us focus on what to focus on. Through the interviews, we realized where we could add value, and then the other class topics made us really assess our value proposition, revenue, and costs, and it made us refine our focus.”
Importantly, all program participants felt the program was valuable to them and likewise all indicated they would recommend it to their peers. Quoting one participant, “The business canvas and beachhead focused efforts made us dig deeper into the business strategy and challenge our assumptions; focus better on aligned priorities.”
